MEASUREMENTS

3 Teaspoons= 1 Tablespoon
4 Tablespoons= 1/4 Cup
5 Tablespoons + 1 Teaspoon= 1/3 Cup
4- 1/4 Cups= 1 Cup
2- 1/2 Cups= 1 Cup
1/2 Cup + 1/4 Cup= 3/4 Cup
3- 1/3 Cups= 1 Cup

When you get more use to cooking you will be able to measure by dashes and pinches. I think a dash or a pinch is a little under a teaspoon.

When you measure brown sugar always pack it down with your fingers so the cup is solid with sugar.

Powdered sugar is messy but should be measured correctly.

You can make your own powdered sugar if you have a high speed blender like the kind you use for making malts or other drinks. Just place 1 cup of regular sugar in the blender with 1 tablespoon of corn starch to keep it loose and fluffy, turn blender on high until it turns to powdered sugar.
