Lasagna Made Easy
1 pk. lasagna noodles
To precook the the noddles in boiling water with 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. oil for
about 5 minutes. The noddles will be plyable but not fully cooked. Drain off the water
and set aside.
In a large saucepan brown 1 1/2 lb. ground beef with 1/4 cup chopped onion.
Add 1 package spaghetti sauce mix, 2 tbsp. ketsup, 1 tsp. brown sugar,
1 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 1 16oz. can tomato sauce.
In another small bowl mix 1 8oz. package sheddered mozzarella with 1 cup
cottage cheese and 1 egg. Mix well.
In a cake pan (spray with vegetable spray) start layering ingredients.
First a layer of the hamburger mixture, then cheese, then noodles.
Ending with the top layer being cheese.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Take out of oven and let stand for about 10,
before cutting into serving sizes.
I like to serve this with a Orange jello salad.
If you want to make this easier, you may use a
bottled speghetti sause instead of making your own.
Adding a little brown sugar to it gives it a better taste.
